Appleton at Night (a photo magazine)

"We look at the present through a rear-view mirror. We march backwards into the future."(Marshall McLuhan page 75). It is always interesting to observe how each medium interacts with time. Photography is no exception. Capturing the most temporary, to be displayed forever. I would argue that no other form of art interacts with time in such a severe manner. 

Appleton at Night is a twenty-page collage/photobook capturing Appleton in its most fragile moments. Through life and death, nature and architecture, mindfulness and clumsiness, it is all hiding within. I used most of the photos from the photo collection to guide the outline, and filled in with other pictures in my collection that fit. Some almost three years old, but all Appleton, nonetheless.
