"Where are you love?"
I am often my own enemy when it comes time to do the things I strive to achieve. Sometimes I'll look at the whole picture and get overwhelmed, instead of taking it step by step. Or others I'll tell myself something isn't possible without a certain piece of gear, instead of thinking around the financial barrier.
With this piece I aimed to strike emotion with the viewer, whatever that emotion be, while working with in my capabilities and equipment. I started by collecting video footage. Not quite having a full plan of what I want, but a rough idea of the theme. I then worked through the clips and built some sort of a narrative, and made music to put on top.
I used my phone camera, two semi unique water nightlights, an Alice in wonderland figure, and my computer screen. Premiere for the video and Ableton for the audio.
